This policy explains what information PowerScanova (the website at powerscanova.com and the PowerScanova mobile app, together the “Service”) collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to this policy.
1. Who we are
The Service is run by an individual developer (“we”, “us”). You can contact us at [email protected].
2. Information we collect
- Account information: your email address and password. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are stored in hashed form; we cannot read them.
- Your documents: files, photos and scanned pages you upload or scan, their titles, folders, pages and any text recognised from them (OCR), and edits you make.
- AI requests and results: the questions you ask, the content you attach to them, and the answers produced, so you can see your history.
- Plan and usage information: your subscription plan, AI credit balance and how much of each feature you use.
- Technical information: basic device and browser details, IP address and error logs that our hosting and infrastructure providers create when you connect.
- Information stored on your device: a sign-in session and your settings (see “Cookies and local storage”).
3. How we use information
- to provide the Service: store and show your documents, run the tools you choose, and keep your account working;
- to process payments and manage your plan and credits;
- to keep the Service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems;
- to understand which features are used so we can improve them;
- to show advertising to free accounts on the website (see “Advertising”).
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Who we share information with
We use service providers who process information on our behalf, only to run the Service:
- Supabase – sign-in, database and file storage.
- OpenAI – when you use an AI feature, the text or images needed for that request are sent to OpenAI to produce the answer.
- Google Cloud Translation – text you ask us to translate may be sent to Google for translation. Some translation and text recognition steps run on your own device or in your browser instead.
- Google Places – when you use travel and nearby-place tools, the place you search for is sent to Google.
- Cloudflare – hosts and delivers the website.
- Google AdSense (website) and Google AdMob (mobile app) – show advertising to free accounts.
- Payment processors – when paid plans are offered, payments are handled by a third-party payment provider. We do not receive or store your full card details.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the Service.
5. AI processing
AI features send the content of your request to an AI provider so it can generate a result. Please do not submit content you are not comfortable having processed this way. AI answers can be wrong; check important information yourself.
6. Advertising
Free accounts may see advertising on the website, provided by Google AdSense. Paid and trial accounts do not see ads.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or visit aboutads.info to opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising.
- Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, ads that use cookies are shown only according to the consent choices you make in the consent message.
We do not give advertisers your documents, AI requests or account details.
7. Cookies and local storage
The website uses cookies and your browser’s local storage to keep you signed in, remember settings such as language and theme, and keep the app working. Advertising partners may set their own cookies as described above. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the Service may then stop working.
8. Retention and deletion
We keep your information while your account exists. You can delete documents at any time. You can delete your account in the app under Profile → Account → Delete Account; this cancels a running subscription where applicable and permanently removes your account, your files and your stored data. Some technical logs and backups may remain for a short period before they are removed.
9. Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with providers that apply access controls. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
10. Your choices and rights
You can view, edit, export and delete your documents and your AI history in the app. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, or to object to it. Contact [email protected] and we will respond as soon as we can.
11. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. International transfers
Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. We choose providers that protect information appropriately.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change is significant we will tell you in the app or on the website.

4. 我们和谁分享信息
我们使用服务提供商替我们处理信息，仅用于运行本服务：
- Supabase：登入、数据库和文件存储。
- OpenAI：你使用 AI 功能时，该次请求需要的文字或图片会发送给 OpenAI 来生成答案。
- Google Cloud Translation：你要求翻译的文字可能会发送给 Google 翻译。部分翻译和文字识别步骤会在你的设备或浏览器上运行。
- Google Places：使用旅行和附近地点功能时，你搜索的地点会发送给 Google。
- Cloudflare：托管并提供网站。

5. AI 处理
AI 功能会把你请求的内容发送给 AI 服务商来生成结果。请不要提交你不愿意被这样处理的内容。AI 的答案可能有误，重要信息请自行核对。
6. 广告
免费账号在网站上可能会看到由 Google AdSense 提供的广告。付费账号和试用中的账号不会看到广告。
包括 Google 在内的第三方供应商会使用 Cookie 及类似技术，根据用户之前访问本网站和其他网站的记录来投放广告。Google 使用广告 Cookie，使其及其合作伙伴能根据你对本网站和互联网上其他网站的访问向你投放广告。

8. 保留与删除
只要你的账号存在，我们就会保留你的信息。你可以随时删除文件。你可以在 App 里的 Profile → Account → Delete Account 删除账号；这会在适用时取消正在进行的订阅，并永久删除你的账号、文件和已保存的数据。部分技术日志和备份可能在被清除前保留一小段时间。
9. 安全
数据通过加密连线（HTTPS）传输，并存放在有访问控制的服务商处。没有任何系统是绝对安全的，请使用强度高且不重复的密码。
10. 你的选择和权利
你可以在 App 中查看、编辑、导出和删除你的文件和 AI 历史记录。根据你所在地区，你可能还享有查阅、更正、删除、限制使用个人信息或反对处理的权利。请联系 [email protected]，我们会尽快回复。
11. 儿童
本服务不面向 13 岁以下儿童，我们也不会有意收集他们的个人信息。如果你认为有儿童向我们提供了信息，请联系我们，我们会删除。
12. 跨境传输
我们的服务商可能在你所在国家以外的地方处理信息。我们会选择能适当保护信息的服务商。
13. 政策变更
我们可能更新本政策，顶部的日期会显示最后更新时间。如有重大变更，我们会在 App 或网站上通知你。
